We have often heard it said that thoughts are things, and there are many among us who are persuaded of the truth of this statement. Yet very few of us have any clear idea as to what kind of thing a thought is, and the object of this little book is to help us to conceive this.

The classic 1895 study of Besant's and Leadbeater's investigations into clairvoyant perception. First printed in 1905, the book displays the visualisation of thoughts, experience, emotions and music, expressed in 58 beautiful illustrations done by their friends Mr John Varley, Mr Prince, and Miss Macfarlane. The result is a wonderful cacophony of rainbow spheres, auras, wings, clouds, earthly and un-earthly formations.

The ideas and artworks presented had an significant influence on modern art and the avant-garde.
